“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
~ Lao Tzu
Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
To add an extra twist to this challenge, please welcome Marin, our oldest kiddo (15 years old) here to guest post! She’s currently the Co-President of the Poetry Club at school so it is no wonder that she’d choose her preferred medium to share with us today.
Love is quite the silly thing,
There are many unexpected feelings,
That it tends to bring.
My heart has jumped from high to low,
Since I have been hit with your love arrow.
I have traveled through mountains,
I have traversed the skies,
Every time I get lost in your eyes.
I tripped, I fell and I haven’t returned,
Over you, silly boy, no matter how much it burns,
Through the excruciating pain, you’re heart is still worth it.
From the heavens you came, like my lucky golden nugget,
I’ve kept you close, for all you know,
You escaped through my heart’s window though.
Love and life lessons that burn stripes across my still beating heart,
I am much stronger and wiser now,
Enjoying a beautiful life that no longer has you cast in a leading part.
Love…
