Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches

“He’a a couple sandwiches short of a picnic.”

– Lance Bass

Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches are incredible to serve to larger groups.

The Crock Pot enables the dish to keep warm and ready to serve for hours!

I had these amazing sandwiches at a birthday party once.

I got to talking to the hostess and asked after her delicious recipe.

I was SHOCKED to find that the wonderful sandwich I was eating was flavored mostly by pepperoncini!

I have never in my life eaten a pepperoncini on purpose. My stomach is not the toughest anymore so I tend to stick to a bit more bland or pay the price for it later.

I took off the pepperoncini pieces but even enjoyed dipping it in the sauce in the bottom of the crock pot which was mostly all pepperoncini flavor?!

With that, Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches have become a staple of Poker Night, Game Nights, when friends come over and when I run out of other frozen dinners, I happily serve hot sandwiches.

Can we all take a moment of silence for my oldest, largest and dearest Crock Pot Friend who recently ceased to work any longer.

She was a good friend and served our family well.

I had sticker shock when I looked online to replace her. 🙁

She was a hand me down of a hand me down but still she was the coolest thing ever!

We’re calling in the smaller back up Crock Pot into the big game. Let’s welcome my smallish cute Crock Pot. Up for a cup of coffee. Until I Black Friday a new cheap awesome Crock Pot Friend! Fingers Crossed!

Hug that Crock Pot Friend of yours. Sniff… they too move on to the heavenly recycling facility!

It’s alright, I think I’ll be able to carry on…

Back to why we are here.

Here’s the key to Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches, you freeze all the ingredients together, then on the morning that you wish to serve them, you pop it in the Crock Pot for 8 hours and serve!

SO many ways to use the leftovers if you manage to have any.

When you score a great deal on a 2 Pound Beef Chuck Roast, you can prep an amazing meal!

Take the 2 Pound Chuck Roast and place it into a Freezer Ziploc Bag.

Take 1 Packet of Good Seasons Italian Seasonings and dump it into the Ziploc over the roast.

Grab a 14- 16 ounce Jar of Sliced Pepperoncinis and dump it into the bag, juice and all over the roast and Italian seasonings.

OPTIONAL BUT OH SO AWESOME- add to the bag if you wish:

1/2 Cup Onions

1/2 Cup Bell Pepper

1 Tablespoon Crushed Garlic

1/4 Cup Hemp Seed Oil

(Hemp Seed Oil is high in protein, omega 6, omega 3, fiber and an incredible amount of great minerals. It has a light nutty taste to it. When ever possible I am substituting or adding hemp seed oil into our diet to amp up the foods we consume into the healthiest I can make it.)

At this point I squishy the bag around to mix up all that good stuff I have brewing in my bag.

Have you labeled and dated the freezer bag yet?

HELLO! You MUST! Label and date, LABEL AND DATE!

Picture it…

6 months from now, you reach to the farthest depths of the freezer in search of something for dinner. You pull something hard with green specks out.

Chances are, you’ll toss it in the trash. Wasteful!

If it’s labeled and dated you’ll know exactly what you are doing and how to do it.

When you are ready to serve Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches:

Empty the contents of the freezer bag into the Crock Pot on LOW for 8 hours.

When it’s all done it’ll easily shred.

Mix it all up with the juices and ta-da!

Serve on a roll, bun, baguette, french bread.

Add a few slices of fresh Provolone Cheese to the sandwich for a cheesy twist!

IF you would like to make the leftover juices from the Crock Pot into a dip for the Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches…

Pour the drippings from the crock pot into a saucepan.

Add 1 can of Beef Stock

Bring to a boil and then lower to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve in a small ramekin.

The leftover meat makes excellent taco meat, burrito meat, sprinkled on a crisp salad and for MORE Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches!

If you want the flavor but not so much the actual pepperoncini- you can use a jar of whole pepperoncinis and then pick the whole pepperoncinis out before you shred the meat. 🙂

I love when our home is filled with our friends.

It’s wonderful to enjoy the gathering rather than being strapped to the kitchen, cooking the whole time when I’d rather be visiting.

Hot Beef Pepperoncini Sandwiches are a great addition to the Game Night tradition!

Save me extra slices of cheese,

Thank you for sharing this at A’lil Country Sugar’s crock pot party. This looks super duper fantastic!

  2. I have made sandwiches almost exactly like these, oh so good.
I understand how you feel, had to replace my crock pot last year and was very sad as it was only 1 but cracked down the side and to the bottom. They can be pricey these days but so worth it.
