“Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real.”

-Deepak Chopra

bliss 1I am thrilled to share with you today the poetry of a beautiful young lady, my oldest daughter Marin. (AKA Min)

She has filled notebooks full of her poetry and short stories but she’s been a bit reluctant to share her work publicly. I appreciate the courage it takes to put yourself out there and certainly look forward to seeing more of her work here.

A big round of applauds for a remarkably talented gal that I am terribly fond of… may she always express herself so well and find such joy in her art.

bliss 2

There is bliss within every eye,

Every heart full of love,

Every soul that longs to fly.

There is bliss within the gentle push and pull of the ocean,

Within the mist of August air,

Within the changing leaves of Fall’s open motion.

There is bliss within every blooming flower,

Every dew drop upon the grass,

Every breeze whispering through every tower.

There is bliss even on the snowiest mountain,

Within the darkest of caves,

Within the sparkling of fountains.

There is bliss with the bark of the trees,

Within the leaves when they fall,

Within the planting of seeds.

There is bliss in every hopeful thought,

Every mindful action,

Every love that is brought.

There is bliss when you look to the sky,

When you realize the blue

reflects in your eye.

There is bliss even when the clouds turn to grey,

When the glass turns to waves,

And hit the rocks along the bay.

There is bliss no matter where you go,

Just keep your head high

And in time you will know.

There is bliss within you.

within all that you love

Within all that you do.

  1. It seems like you raised a very talented, down to earth daughter!

  2. Min is as talented as the other women in her family. Why am i not surprised? Not only is her poem beautiful, but she has the same spirit as her mom.
